KID Week 7 Power Rankings

Each year, eleven of my best friends and I participate in a keeper fantasy football league, dubbed "Keeper? I Don't Even Like Her!" (KID, for short).  These power rankings are for them.

Not a lot of time to do some in-depth analysis this week, so I'm simply going to give my thoughts on where each of your teams stand through the halfway point of the fantasy regular season.

1. Room For Regret (Last week's rank: 1) 5-1, 723 points
Kevin's team deserves to be in this No. 1 spot for the fourth straight week.  But he relies too much on Tom Brady and LeSean McCoy.  I don't think he will win it all unless Andre Johnson and Antonio Gates return and contribute.

2. Beast Mode (3) 5-1, 716 points
Hunt's team has come a long way since I declared that he had the worst draft and ranked him 9th after Week 1.  That's what a phenomenal start from a mid-round pick like Fred Jackson will do for you.  I think he has a better chance to win the championship than Kevin does, because Aaron Rodgers and Arian Foster, along with Jackson, give him three top players who can explode in any given week.

3. Rice and Breesy (2) 4-2, 737 points
Despite the praise I just gave Hunt, I'd rather have Sumit's team over any other for the home stretch.  Drew Brees, Ray Rice, Wes Welker and Greg Jennings is a core that few teams can keep up with.  He still needs to trade for a solid flex player though, because DeAngelo Williams and Mark Ingram have been too unreliable this season.

4. A Few Good Chicks (4) 3-3, 685 points
Will is putting up a lot of points and frankly deserves better than a 3-3 record.  Calvin Johnson, Ahmad Bradshaw and Matt Forte have been off to a hot start, but Will can't win this league unless Philip Rivers (6 TDs and 7 INTs so far) steps up his game.

5. Dirty Mike & The Boys (5) 3-3, 576 points
More than any other team, Colin has done the most to improve his team in the last few weeks.  He lost Jamaal Charles, but he's made up for it by trading for Jimmy Graham and Jackie Battle.  What he lacks in stars (Steve Smith and Ryan Mathews have been his best players), he makes up for in depth.

6. Father Superior (7) 3-3, 558 points
Nick has a strong foundation with Adrian Peterson, Matthew Stafford and Rashard Mendenhall.  But he needs help at wide receiver, because Santonio Holmes, Mike Williams, Sidney Rice and Mike Thomas have all been disappointments.

7. The Mighty Kegs (9) 3-3, 542 points
I loved Mike's trade for Chris Johnson and Roddy White.  I believe they both will turn it around very soon.  Stratis, seemingly out of the hunt two weeks ago, can definitely make a run.

8. Doctor Asshole (8) 3-3, 578 points
It usually takes a herculean effort for Jason to merely set his lineup, but he's somehow firmly entrenched in the playoff hunt.  I think his team will slow down as Cam Newton experiences the typical rookie growing pains, but I wouldn't be shocked to see him upset a strong team if he can make the playoffs.

9. Aluminum Pint (6) 3-3, 550 points
As you can see above, I liked Dave's chances to make a run once CJ2K and White got back on track.  But he panicked and traded them for Darren McFadden and Shonn Greene.  If you ask me, he just dealt away his shot at a title.

10. The Pudgy Pelican (11) Yours Truly, 1-5, 601 points
Somehow, I'm 5th in the league in points, yet am rebuilding for next year.  That's what happens when you start 0-5.

11. Lambs_of_Combat (10) 3-3, 548 points
There hasn't been a week this season where I've believed in Scott's team.  His best RB right now is Earnest Graham.  It's only a matter of time until he falls out of the playoff race.

12. STD? Fine By Me! (12) 0-6, 449 points
Has anyone ever seen a team go 0-13 in a fantasy league?  And has anyone seen a team go through an entire season without making one waiver wire pickup?  Ward in on pace to do both.
